You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You may not use our website in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations or infringes on the rights of others.

Orders and Payment
By placing an order with us, you agree to pay the total amount of the order, including any applicable taxes and shipping fees. We accept payment by credit card
Use of coupons, gift cards and discounts
Any coupons or discount codes must be used at the time of purchase. Kindly note, we will not be able to apply a discount code after a purchase has been made or refund the amount of the coupon, gift card or discount back to your card. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash
Shipping and Delivery
We offer to ship within Australia and to select international destinations, upon request. We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 business days. If we are out of an item, we will notify you and give an estimated time when the item will be in stock.
We choose to partner with Australia Post as they deliver to all addresses including PO Boxes and provide the most cost-efficient service. Please refer to their website for shipping times. We charge a flat rate of $10 for all domestic orders, and this refers to standard shipping. If you need your order sent express, please email or call us to arrange the extra fee and payment.
Item not arriving
Whilst the vast majority of the parcels we send reach their destinations within the usual delivery times, we know that occasionally parcels get delayed or go missing.
We also know that with covid restrictions and severe weather events happening across the country, our postal system is stretched. Please bear with us as we manage through this together and with Australia Post.
Please check the tracking number that you have been emailed from us on the Australia Post website. If you need further assistance, please email or call us.
Hours of Operation
We are open from 9-5 from Monday to Friday. Any orders placed over the weekend or on Queensland public holidays will be processed the next working day.
Returns and Refunds
According to Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund if the items received are faulty in some way. If there is damage to a product or an error with your order upon arrival, please contact us immediately by email or phone, and we will do our best to promptly assist you.
We require you to return, at your own expense, the product in its original packaging, for examination and testing. Once we receive the returned product, we will evaluate the product and process a refund, exchange or replacement if deemed necessary. Refunds are made at the discretion of ARTEA The Tea Merchant and will be processed via the original payment method, within 7 business days of receiving the returned product.
Please note, there is no refund or exchange on SALE items or for change-of-mind purchases.
Packaging & Dispatch Policy
We take great care in ensuring your order arrives to you intact. Products are carefully and firmly packaged into mailer bags or cardboard boxes with appropriate padding. Any tins, glass packaging, tea pots or tea accessories will be checked for damage prior to shipping and carefully bubble wrapped and then packaged.
